Very good composition on both but have to agree #2 is excellent
Tigger, that is so nice of you to look in and offer such an encouraging comment. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your images. Certainly send me a PM when you post so I don't miss it,OK?

Well look at you go, girl!!!! Congrats on your upgrade and I know you will master 14 in no time!!
Carla, your shots are exquisit and love the detail and whatever processing you did.... you aced it!!! I especially love the hydrangea in B&W!!!!
Nicely done!!
You are such a fantastic encourager,Angela, but you also are well aware of how frustrating the "learning curve" is for me. I think I've worn SnapShot out, I may have to call you! Thank you for your wonderful comments!

Carla, any time, just remember I'm only home Tuesdays and Thursdays.... take each step as they come and watch plenty of youtube videos and try Anthony Morganti Elements training videos, he's very good!! Just keep playing!!
I wish you'd crawl under my computer desk, laughing raccoon! You'll keep me from whacking my head on the keyboard perhaps. I usually like to walk away from the TEF programs (Tedium, Exasperation, and Frustration), so if you see those programs out there realize that they come at a high price and not user friendly!
Thank you so much for looking in and always encouraging comments!

Looks like you nailed it Carla. Very well done.
Good morning,Jack, and thank you so much for looking in. I appreciate your generous comments and so glad you took the time to tell me. Hope everything is going well in your corner of the state!
Both are gorgeous, Carla! Exquisite details and tonal range on your delicate hydrangea. A wowsa pop of color in your other, in a very appealing composition.

Beautifully done, Carla! Love the color and depth of the second shot, but the monochrome first works perfectly. Excellent work on both!
TP, taking the time for looking in and commenting means the world to me. Thank you so much for the encouraging words. By the time I finish with an image it starts to look mundane and old to me (I can make anything more complicated and time consuming!). On a side note, Hope you are getting some much needed rest. Continued prayers for Madame P.
you get an a+ on both carlysue. you are so brave to try something new!
i love both the black and the color version. lovely work.[/quote]
I'll take an A+, MerryT!! (Its been awhile since I've had that kind of grade!) I'm not sure if "brave" is the right word but its certainly more encouraging than any I would call this undertaking! Thank you so much for taking the time to look and comment. I love that you love them!

Very beautiful work, Carlysue!
good morning, Swamp-Cork! I certainly appreciate your visit and kind comment. Thank you so much I haven't seen you post recently. Did your perennial garden make it through the storms? Did the butterflies come?

Nice, Carlysue, nice!
I know you do not give empty praise,Jaymatt, and so your comments mean even more to me. Thank you so much for the encouragement and taking the time to do so.
Carlysue, the black & white is wonderful. I especially love the detail in the leaves. They are a great backdrop for your subject!! The color one is nicely done!! I love the Fall colors, as Fall is fast upon us! I know how frustrating new programs can be, but you must be a fast learner when you can put out this kind of work!! Great job!! TG

I,too, loved how that orange& yellow popped against the dark background. It's not really a very big plant but this made it seem quite stately. Now if a butterfly would have landed on it, that would have made my day! thank you for enjoying these two efforts,Linda. I'd have perhaps put it in the Digital Enhancement Forum but by the time I finished, I could not remember the process. I need to get faster at this stuff.

I appreciate your time to look and comment,Thee, Thank you so much! I didn't realize the back leaf in the upper left didn't show as much as I thought it did. I probably did a last minute contrast tweak and didn't realize. I'll have to go back and look at the work load. I do love summer but you cannot beat autumn for glorious, bold, bright color. Too soon upon us, too soon will pass!!
Beautiful, very artistic, you did great Carlysue.
