Haven't posted lately, mostly trying to update from Elements 6 to Elements 14 and maintain my sanity. Change can be tedious and I don't do well with tedium. But SnapShot has been quite patient and since I vowed to try a few techniques nightly, thought I'd post a couple of my "tries".

You must be a very good student - these are both outstanding in every respect!

Great shots. I particularly like #2...RICH color, clarity, composition.... Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much,Carol. After I work and look at an image long enough, I find I'm less certain of what I initially loved about it when I first saw it. I'd hate to be boring. You just made my evening and its been a hard day!

You are welcome and I appreciate you looking in,Redrock. It is such a beautiful plant, if a butterfly would have landed on it, it would have made my day! Maybe I'll eventually learn how to make a composite and just put a bf in there!

Both are outstanding images, but being partial to color, I especially like the second.

Beautifully done, Carla! Love the color and depth of the second shot, but the monochrome first works perfectly. Excellent work on both!

Tom, I appreciate you saying that. I've admired the way you get the drama of color in your images so I do know you are all about those colors! Thank you for checking this out and your warm comments.
