The last two really are a pain but since fitting the mesh the pigeons aren't really a problem. They still get to feed on another table. The Starlings arrive in a flock of about twelve and are quite agressive towards the others, which wait for them to leave and then fly to the feeders.
Same here. The pigeons and starlings are in great numbers. They feed mainly on the horse feed that is dropped in the pastures. This is a great place for those birds. All the feed they want, all kinds of material to build nests (hay), lots of trees, a huge barn, plenty of water, no predators, and humans they can harass by being a nuisance. And, when they really want to be bad, they leave poop on everything! I am outnumbered! Ha!
