I would love to see a method of Like or Reply as we have on Face Book. With this method, one could show how the photo affected them, more so in a quick positive method, eliminating the obligatory comments from and to the artist. Of course, one could always reply with comments, which could open up further discussion, as we have now. I would like very much to send my quick Like without the need for a comment. I know the thumbs up works but it involves too many steps. Thanks for listening.......Tommy.

How about just typing "Like"?
Edit: Oh, I see. Too much work.

I am sooo with Carol. We already have buddy lists and ability to click a "thumbs-up" emoticon. Please, please admin, don't install a LIKE button

When I post to Gallery, I am always grateful when some says why they like a particular image. It means that they took more than 3 seconds to view the image and it spoke to them in some way.

I have made more effort to do the same myself this past year. I'm not at 100% but am trying. There are all levels of experience, interest and talent on this site, and there are many ways that the OP or another viewer might learn from specific comments.

The Smilies are easy enough just wish I knew what all of them meant. I'm not on Facebook and likely will never be.

A lot of use the 'thumbs up' emoticon and while I agree that a 'single click' approach to doing this would be convenient, it would probably not be worth the effort to change the programming to make it possible. Having this capability would not however make UHH like FaceBook just more convenient for those of us who use the 'thumbs up' a lot.

"Like" or emoticons are fine for the ego, and a facile, effort free way for people to respond. No one ever learned anything of value about their photos from either. The specifics, "Why", you like or dislike an image, provides useful information that enables growth of skill.

Clicking on "Reply", clicking on " " then clicking on "Send" is too many steps for you? Boy are you lazy.

Facebook was designed by young people to be used by young people in a manner most young people are accustom to, the quick, simple easy way that requires the least amount of thought and effort. I'm not saying all young people are that way but ironically over 65% of young people don't eat cereal because you have to wash the bowl and spoon when done. Kind of sad...

I understand your apparent humor here....it's not so much "Too much work involved", rather there is no easy and quick method of doing such. The Like and Reply features seem to be a very effective, quick method to just let the artist know your feelings, without having to write a comment. Hope this clarifies and thanks for your input......Tommy
