beautiful shots regis...the pretty blue sky makes a great background.
This time of year in north Idaho we are dry and sunny with blue skies most of the time. Very
low humidity. All this makes for good bird photos.
I thank you, merrytexan, for your nice reply.

Great shots! Glad for the info on juvenile osprey.
The young Osprey are born in about April of each year and mature fast. Their diet is about 95% fish so that is why
they like to build their nests close to lakes and rivers. This juvenile is already flying.
I thank you, MTG44, for your good reply.
More great work, Regis. I was unaware of the birds colorful wings.

Darn Regis! These are very beautiful shots! Outstanding camera work my friend! Now, why didn't you call me so I could stand next to you?:):)
I thank you very much, Erv, for your nice comment. Carly Sue says hi to you.
If you lived a little closer, I would call you to join me in my hunting of birds.

I agree; one of the better, if not the best, Waxwing photo I have see. Many of the photos posted seem to lack detail; your photos never lack detail.
This pretty bird (Cedar Waxwing) is very hard to show any detail with it's small detailed feathering.
I got lucky with the sun helping me get this detail.
I thank you, bajadreamer, for your good reply.

The wing colors may be prettier in flight, but I have never been able to capture a BIF photo, so far.
Anyhow, they are a pretty bird and I thank you, Dan, for your reply.

Two photos taken on a sunny day a few miles apart of a pretty Cedar Waxwing and a juvenile Osprey that
is now beginning to fly. The orange eyes and a pattern of white spots on the Osprey's wings indicate it
is a juvenile.
I used 560mm.

Hi, they both are great photos,We have a ton of ospreys here in Delaware, but I only got shots of a Cedar Waxwing once.Your photos are always so clear.
Once again Mr. Regis you've captured beauty. Thanks for the data including the distance. You've been a great help.

Awesome captures Regis. Don't see many waxwings here, but ospreys - that's another story. So, if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the waxwing.
