Two photos taken on a sunny day a few miles apart of a pretty Cedar Waxwing and a juvenile Osprey that

is a juvenile.
I used 560mm.

Very nice, Regis! Beautiful shots.. Is the Cedar Waxwing perched on branches of some type of dying fruit tree or dying grape vine ? I'm just curious because they have a habit of hanging around our fruit trees and our grape vines here at our home. Sometimes an entire flock of them will invade our largest cherry tree when it full of cherries in the month of June. They can make a mess, but they are a beautiful bird.

I agree; one of the better, if not the best, Waxwing photo I have see. Many of the photos posted seem to lack detail; your photos never lack detail.

It's not a fruit tree or a dying grape vine. This small tree is located on the edge of a lake marsh area with lily pads, etc. My previous Cedar Waxwing
photos were taken among those lily pads and water plants.
But, as you said, they are a pretty bird.

I thank you for your good comment, Doug.
