I hope this hasn't already been said, but I found out that while placing an order with your computer is a great option, Costco's system would not accept print requests over 5 MPs. My advice, to get higher resolution go to a Costco store with your flash drive and you will reproduce, I believe, the resolution you provide. Thanks, Dave

Ive never found this to be true. Many of my files are many times that size.

Thanks to all. Can I take in a cd or flashdrive? Seems like upload time would take forever.

I upload directly to Costco and it doesn't take all that much time. Of course I only upload a few photos at a time and they are usually 11x14 or 8x10.

I know people will point out the $50 membership fee, but Costco's prices can't be beat and they produce a very good product. A few weeks ago two of my prints didn't print right (the machine jammed) and they didn't catch it. They reprinted the whole order and threw in 3 extra prints of the two that jammed "because of the inconvenience" and they apologized that I had to wait around an extra 15 minutes!

I always make a book of prints from trips and use ritzpix.com for printing
they are on sale now for 9 cents for a 4x6 [with a coupon code] sometimes gets down to 7 cents I think their quality is good and they are very fast getting them back to you.

I've had 36 x 48 canvas prints, 30 x 20 photos, ... made by Costco. Never saw any reference to file size.

None of them care about file size unless you are using a local pro printing service(that's not Costco or any of those bulk print outfits) and they would warn you about the pending issues. They bulk guys do bulk and use what you send them. If you send them say a 2:3 picture and ask for an 8x10, they will crop it. Send them a small file and ask for big picture, it simply comes out shitty!

One thing about Costco's system - they warn you that something will be cropped and allow you to decide where the crop will be. They also warn you of insufficient resolution for the size you're ordering.

You can upload your images from home to www.costcophotocenter.com. You can order any quantity and they will either mail them to your address or you can pick them up at the local store. I do think you have to be a Costco member to use them, however. I use them for any occasion I need more than a print or two which I print myself at home. IO have had prints as large a 48 inches wide done by them and they do excellent work at really good prices. You can also download their printer profile and save your images with that profile before you send them.
