I shoot people, — individuals, couples, families, & female models. I like shooting models because I can work on different lighting techniques and different post editing.
I'd like to see a section/forum where before and after post editing images can be viewed and can be discussed. We can see countless images that have already been post-edited, well beyond the original capture. But I've yet to find a place where the discussion is centered around the "making of the shot", & Im not talking camera settings. I'm speaking of where the light came from, how much light, was there a blank white (or black) wall reflecting light, etc. Also, were there any unique posing techniques used and/or was there a professional MUAH professional assisting?
I'm not really interested in another place to display one's work, but very interested in a place where the actual creation of the work can be shared and both un-edited and edited images can be shared. And to be clear, the unedited is extremely important, as it is representative of the actual mechanics of the shot.
As far as being family friendly:
I disconnected TV from my house years and years ago because its mostly trash . . Kim Kardashian Instagram feed is available to children . . . Everywhere you look, everywhere you shop — sexual topics are front and center . . . . So in my opinion, an honest & professionally structured forum devoted to strengthening a respected craft should not be offensive to anyone.
Put me down for a "Yes"

Very attractive model and well captured.
And not the least bit emaciated to boot. Very healthy looking

A while back someone asked me about setting up a boudoir photography section.
Is there much interest in such section at this time?
I'm not sure how many photographers we have here that do boudoir or want to learn about it.
So please let me know what you think.
I think it would be interesting provided it is kept professional in approach, I would think that as a section it would probably be fair not to include images in the newest pictures feed. If you can do that might it be possible to see newest pictures on a section by section basis. Or perhaps on a section subscribed basis. E.g I don't really want to see pictures from the attic. Or way too many Bird Pics. Actually Filtering by member would be excellent too.
As for the section itself , a female moderator might be a good thing, I'd rather see artistic rather than seedy and some comments might make your skin crawl. Male and female subjects would be good, that should help to avoid it becoming to much of an old boys club. Maybe start the section on probation and see how it goes. The right approach matters.
I think it's stepping onto a slippery slope.

I would not think it would be advisable as there in not a way I can think of to put limits or parameters on what is acceptable or not. There is always going to be some one that is going to push the limits. The Ladies on the forum should have the most input it would seem to me. The forum is a public service and a discourse for photography, so the argument could be made that it should be included. But on the other hand if some one wants some other form of photography, should they be denied. My personal opinion I would say that if it is not broke do not fix it.You could get into other problems with sexual orientation or practices it seems. A dangerous road to go down it seems to me.

The problem comes in when people are forced to view images that they object to.

No one is "forcing" anyone to view anything on this site. If you think you will object to something and click it anyway, that's on you.
Doing that and then saying it's someone else's fault you saw something you didn't like is juvenile bs.

Couldn't agree more.
But there are those few that have to look just so to complain about it. Its happened many times but now we have the ignore list.

Do you think I was referring to myself? People bitch and moan about porn all the time. They MUST be forced to view it, or else they wouldn't complain.
Good point.
Lot of people running around putting Guns to people's heads.
There is going to be a porn section as well ?

No matter how clean the artist makes it, it WILL be construed as "porn"
Some people are dumb enough to call the beautiful image posted earlier as "porn".

Well since the site software has made it easier to ban members , let them be banished :) no problem.
seriously if you don't want to go to a section then don't go, it works for the attic. I think as long as the section photo's do not end up in latest pics (unless by choice) it isn't going to be a problem. There are a couple of other possibilities a subdomain or separate domain name for the section. My own web hosting allows me to do this. I host any number of sites on a single host a subdomain is free and a .com around $15 a year.

I'm sure you'll have way more men interested in this than us ladies. While we are asked to do these shots, usually to keep men out of the mix until the photos are presented to a lucky mate or serious boyfriend, it's really not a subject I want to see much of. We, as women, already know what sexy is and well.... you are going to be making women the subject of most of this photography, right?
But then again, I suppose there would be no complaints from the female half of the forum if I start putting up male boudoir shots, right?? Then you guys might get an idea of what's sexy to us!! So just remember, this boudoir stuff can go both ways!!

I think that's a great idea and long overdue. The quality of a sexy shoot isn't gender exclusive! I'm for a boudoir section that includes both, men and women (even though my personal interest lies in women).
