Hey MWAC! How ya been? I do respectfully disagree with one of your points. If you look around the world it's very difficult to find a leader who is not being disrespected by his/her countrymen. A few years ago the Canadian Prime Minister was really catching He** but I don't recall why. Look at Europe most are under the gun for one reason or another.....Just sayin.

Yes people question their leaders and speak out against what they believe is wrong, that is the wonderful thing about living in a free nation were we are given those rights. I won't take anyone's right away to question the actions of their governement, but calling your elected offical "Adolf" is beyond questioning, it's a new level of disprect I see happening, and saddly I believe part of the reason for butching of the President's name and the refering to him as being on the same playing field of one of the worlds' most hated leaders of all time stems from racist views that they have buried deep down, they are to ashamed to out and out say it so they hide it in "cleaver" ways.

I currenlty live in Texas I can't tell you how many bumper stickers I have seen that refer to your president in a racist manner.

examples I have seen lately:
"He ain't my cotton picking president"
"Don't Re-Nig - 2012"
"One Big Ass Misteak America" my favorite cause of the typo...lmao
"Do we need a BLACK man in the WHITE house?"

The Canadian Prime Minister has had pie thrown in his face (we can get up close and personal with our leaders) but to call Stephen Harper, Adolf Harper would raise more than a few eyebrows by many Canadians.

I do agree that lines should be drawn and the examples you give are just wrong no matter which political party you support. I think sometimes it’s just a matter of one’s personality. I run on a treadmill and am perfectly content doing so, I live in the country and I don’t like running on gravel so the treadmill is a great option for me. I was discussing running shoes with a guy and mentioned that when I’m running on the track with my son I prefer one shoe and when I’m on the treadmill I prefer a different shoe. This guy started ridiculing me even telling me that I couldn’t be considered a runner if I used a treadmill. Why would a total stranger insult me for using a treadmill? Why is it that important to him? Some people just can’t abide anyone seeing the world differently than they do. Personal preference and freedom to make a different choice is just not allowed….how sad. It must be hell living inside the head of those who can’t accept those who disagree with them….JMHO of course.

I totally agree, I'm a runner too and use a treadmill (I'm not running outside when it's 120+ degress outside, lol) and when I run on the treadmill, I run... BAREFOOT!!!! I know, I know... I'm a total rebel, lmao.

I'm said it before, sometimes when I read things people post here, my jaw just drops to the floor. They fail to see that not only is their way not the only way but belittling others (be it a member of the forum or the leader of the United States) doesn't serve their purpose very well.

When citizens of the world see Americans refering to their President as "Osama Obama" and "Adolf Obama" do you think they respect the American people? Do you think it paints Americans in a great light? No, it plays right into the sterotype that American's are hillbilly, redneck racists. Next time someone is thinking about calling the President such names think to yourself "Is this REALLY the image of America I want to put out for the world to see?"

I'm not a citizen, but I do live in the US and pay my fair share of taxes, I can tell you this really isn't the image I want for the country I am currently am calling home.

Democrat John "Dirtbag" Edwards with Anthony "Hotdog" Weiner as vice president, and yes, I merrily showed neither one any "respect." 8-)

They are just men making bad choices, the Democrats can point to the same kind of behavior in the Republican ranks and you know it. This is the same kind of crap that the non-believers do whenever a high profile Christians makes a poor choice, the entire Christian community is bad because of the behavior of an "individual', come on let's get real.

Well if your goal is to change someone’s mind you’re probably correct in your assessment. Personally I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind; I do find it interesting to see why people believe what they believe. It helps me to better understand them.

I like to talk to people about things like this cause believe it or not if one has an open mind, you might actually learn a thing or two. I've learned more from people that have opposing ideas to mine than I've ever learned from people that have the same beliefs.

Perhaps, but it seems to me recent history has had a preponderance of "bad choices" being made by those in the democratic party. Yes, there are bad apples on both sides just perhaps not equally. Would you have been happier if my choice was republican Richard "Tricky Dick" Nixon?

My remark was intended to be partly humorous. On the serious side those who represent us should be honest and not lie to their constituents, regardless of which party or ideology they profess. Lying, stealing, tax evading, such things should immediately bring about the downfall of elected representatives, unfortunately in many cases it dosen't.

I fail to grasp your analogy of high profile Christians, or high profile anyone. These people are elected representives who are sworn to adhere to certain ethical and legal behavior. 8-)
