Bald Eagle Pair Together: Sequel to BE Coming In (6)

After I shot the last pic in a previous post (#8 in Bald Eagle Coming In) the eagle flew from its perch and went over to the opposite side of the lake and perched in a tree where I took pics a few days earlier. I drove over there to try for some pics but the eagle left before I got there and joined its mate on their favorite perch in the oak tree (#1).

On the way back to where I came from, more clouds rolled in and the sky turned gray. The good light was waning. I walked down the lake shore to where I could get a better view of the two perched birds.

These are what I shot. Enjoy them. Comments welcome.

:-) I agree. I was trying for more DOF but I know I overdid it. Thanks for commenting and looking.

Nice you are lucky to get them being that they are hard to find. The fact that you got two is really good. I like that you got the eyes

:-) Thank you, Linda. Yes, they are a handsome couple. They come to this lake every autumn. They seem to know that it is stocked by the state for youth fishing derbies and the fall trout season. Glad you like these and thanks for looking.

:-) This pair frequents the local lakes but especially favor this one in the autumn. They are residents for the past 4 years. This is the first time I got both together so close. You're missing it if you haven't come to the Upper Delaware during the winter migration in Jan. and Feb. Glad you like these. Thanks for looking and commenting.

:-) You're welcome. I go there often to see and take pics of the eagles. This pair frequent the lake every autumn until the water freezes. Then its over to the river for a different environment for fishing. Glad you like these. Thanks for looking.
