A couple days after my
last visit, I left home to go to the mountain lake to look for Bald Eagles. The sun was shining and the sky was a clear bluebird blue. "A beautiful day for shooting pics," I thought. During the 12-mile drive, the clouds began to roll in obliterating the beautiful blue sky and hid the sun.
After parking my truck, I walked out on the dock at the boat launch and caught a glimpse of an eagle's white tail. It was on its favorite perch, hidden by thick foliage of an oak tree. I also noticed another in a tree far down the lake. I went back to my truck to get my camera, and by time I came back to the dock, the eagle had left its perch and flown down the lake to join its mate. This is the only pair of eagles that frequent local lakes. Rarely will another come here - usually an immature.
I was prepared for a wait to watch and see what the eagles would do. It was a long hour later when one of them came flying toward me, landing in the tree on its favorite perch. A short time later, the other eagle came up the lake and landed in a tree further along the shore.
These are what I got. Enjoy them. Comments welcome.

:-) Thanks, Erv. I've learned that it takes patience to get a shot. Not necessarily the shot, but you have to put in the time to get something. Glad you like these. I'm happy to share. Thanks for looking.

PS: There's more coming. Both eagle and flaming foliage. I need to PP after I get done with the soccer pics I shot yesterday. Keep an eye for new posts.

These are absolutely beautiful. The leaves seem to set off the eagles. Thanks for sharing.
