There are lots of things to shoot in Belize if you do your homework. If you are a bird shooter, the Crooked Tree Bird Sanctuary is a paradise. Underwater photography? ditto. I wouldn't base a travel decision on the comments of one hogger unless I knew considerable detail about their experience. Oh, enjoy Sicily, Sicily, Sicily. Make sure you go to Cefalu.

My wife does not want to go with me to Belize. She would rather go to Charleston and Savanah in December. Wife always wins. Terrible case of GAS. Need help.

Both Charleston and Savannah are great places for photography. I suggest a tripod for some of those great old ante bellum houses near the battery in Charleston. Likewise beautiful old houses in Savannah. Don't forget your wide angle. And if GAS is really chewing at you go buy a new wide angle.

We were in Belize when younger and could snorkle on their ocean reef which is second in size to Australia's Great Reef. If you haven't been to any of the later suggested travel sites with camera, make peace and let your wife give input and her choises. Happy and safe traveling.

I don't need a swamp channel. Alligator Alley is only 30 miles from here! I suppose they advertise Belize on the Fort Myers channels because they broadcast to Naples which is where all the wealthy people in mansions are looking to buy a vacation home on an island with the spare change they earned on investments this month.
