This house we have lived in for the last couple of years is truly weird. If I am using the stove and the oven, then turn on the microwave it pops the breaker for the computers in the other room.
I'm sure it's a wiring messup somewhere, but since we only rent and won't be here much longer than another year, plus given the fact that I couldn't really care less, I'm just not going to do anything about it LOL.
The hubby has to remind me whenever I'm cooking a really involved dinner not to use all 3 at the same time .... what a guy !
I figure that IF we survive Dec 21,2012 then we are moving to TN so why bother lol.

Yup. Yup. Same here! But our breaker does the kitchen. So if we have to use the mircowave make sure the coffee pot and and exhaust fan are turned off or we pop it. Grrr. Sometimes I forget.

Yeah I'm not holding out much hope for the home we end up buying in Tennessee. I want at least an acre of land for the dogs so it's gonna have to be out in the boonies somewhere. Something to look forward to I guess :)

With lots of pine trees! That's sorta my dream. A house alone surrounded by pine trees.

Yep and big oaks and rolling hills maybe a pond. A girl can dream.

In my opinion, you should have an electrician look at things, if only for peace of mind.

I have thought about it. I should mention it to the owner. But with her it would take a year to get someone here lol.

It's just stuff afterall. If the whole house burns down... on the rare occasion that both the hubby and I are not home at the same time, it won't matter as long as the dogs get out. They have a doggie door so I think that is covered. When I'm not here the camera equipment is gone too LOL. The rest can all be replaced. We just moved from Maui in 2009 and had to replace everything when we got to the mainland... cost more to ship it than to replace it.

send her a letter and keep a copy. Then she can never say you never told her.

I own a home and my hub is into ham radio. When he goes on the radio my under cabinet kitchen lights seem to take on a life of their own. Flashing randomly through low med and high until he gets off the radio.

I take it you rent? If so, you have leverage. Be nice or evil, I say this is something you must take care of. If the landlord will not repair or send an electrician, mention it to his/her insurance company.

I've suffered fires as have friends, and it is should be taken serious like. Tis your decision, I suppose.

I know you are correct... and now I'm feeling guilty. So I will mention it to her. The thing is I don't cook many meals during the year that does it and I suffer from CRS (can't remember sh*t) but I will write it down and be sure to tell her. It's only right. Just have to remember where I place the note to myself LOL.
