One of the British camera magazines rated the Pixma Pro 100 as one of the best 13 x 19 printers made and that it uses less ink than any other printer. I purchased one with the 50 sheet box of 13 x19 paper for $99 after the $300 rebate. I generally made 3 or 4 13 x19's per month for club competitions and I do they all at the same time.. I do all my other printing on a laser printer. So the printer is idle for the rest of the month. I have used Canon printers for the last 5 years and have never had a clog or had to run a cleaning cycle. I always use Canon ink. I talked to the Canon printer tech and he said their tests show that you get between 45 and 60 13 x19 prints per cartridge depending upon the color.

Color output is excellent. BTW my rebate arrived about 3 weeeks after sending it in.

I'm trying to understand this rebate thing and total cost. With paper and discounted shipping the cost is $480. Rebate is $300. How does that add up to $99.00? I know $180 is also a great deal but it's not what is advertised?

Did they send you a rebate for $369?

I bought one a couple of weeks ago for $89 after rebate with paper from Adorama. It was defective. Canon immediately shipped me a new one and paid for shipping both ways. I used the box that the new one came in to ship the defective one back to them. Don't have the rebate yet, but expect it soon. The print quality is very good I think it really is a $400 printer. I like to be able to control mhy photos from camera to paper so I don't consider Costco to be an option.

You can also look into a continuous ink supply system instead of the cartridge deal, they claim it will save you 90% over standard printing. Several sites offering it. Are you confused yet. LOL

Ok folks, I just got off of the phone with the sales rep. at B&H and he states to only order the printer for $399.00, they will automatically include the paper so I will have both UPC codes available for the $300.00 rebate.

Then I use "bill me later" feature so not to tie up my credit and get a great wireless printer! I hope this helps someone else out there!

I have a pixma pro 100 printer. The good news is that it puts out very nice prints,it is convenient and works well every time I use it. I have entered photos from the printer in contests and done well so the printer is not a limiting factor. The bad news is that it goes through ink cartridges faster than anticipated and is more expensive to use than a Costco type printer. Personally I like the convenience and am willing to pay the price.

I paid $399.00 for a package deal printer plus paper and free shipping. The deal is available at number of the online USA dealers and the rebate expires on 9/30/13.

Thanks for the response. I anticipated the ink being expensive but I like the convenience also. I've been looking for a printer that will give me quality prints.

So far I have printed 11 13x19 prints and only the light grey ink is down to the 3/4 full mark. That's the color that the Canon tech said that used the most ink. So far I think I am on the track to reach the numbers the Canon tech predicted.

I track all ink and paper usage. My Pixma Pro 9000 MKII got between 30 and 45 13 x19's per ink other than the red and green which each got over 120 13 x19's per cartridge.

When I used non-Canon ink in the past I had so many problems, clogging and ruining printheads. Since using only Canon inks never had a clog, never ran a cleaning cycle even though sometimes have not used printer for 2 or 3 months and have never had to replace a print head.
