Agreed. Some filters seem ridiculously expensive, but I guess a lot goes into manufacturing certain filters. I can live without the expensive ones. I did get a set of the Cokin P-type of filter on Amazon for under $50, although I haven't used them very much. That's not the type of thing you're going to take on a family vacation to a tourist area and keep swapping out filters, with the camera on a tripod and your family waiting for you to move on to the next photo op.
