Thanks one and all for the very valuable feedback. We are really looking forward to this bucket-list trip and I'll enjoy it much more with your advice. Hopefully I'll come back with at least one capture worth posting!

The wife and I are headed for the Galapagos later this month and I need guidance on which lenses to take, and am open to any other advice you may wany to offer.

I’ll be toting two Canon bodies, T7i and 77D. The lenses I have available are as follows:
10-18 f4.5 Canon
24-105 f4L, Macro Canon
70-200 f4L Canon
300 f4L Canon
1.4 Canon extender
18-300 f3.5 Sigma walkalong (for Quito?)
150-600 Sigma
From your experience, which should I take. Will I need any others? Should I tote a tripod or anything else?

I’d also appreciate any other tips or suggestions you may have

Thanks in advance for your input.

What do you estimate shipping to 33950? I'd go the $525 w/o filter but w/ shipping. - Tony

Selling a Canon EF 70-200L F4 IS version 1 in excellent condition, includes both caps, Canon hood, after-market tripod ring, comes in original box with paperwork. Will include a B&W UV filter if the asking price is met otherwise the filter is not included.

Glass is excellent, body is excellent, switches work smoothly, filter threads are excellent, some oxidation on the focus ring but overall a very sharp lightweight lens. B&W filter has been used since I bought it 2nd hand. Well cared for, never dropped or taken out in the rain, comes from a smoke-free, pet-free, COVID-free house. I've been using this lens with an RP using an EF-to-R adapter, a 6D, and occasionally with a M50 using an EF-to-M adapter when I owned a M50.

Asking $525 USD, that includes PayPal fees but shipping is on you. Not looking for any trades at this time.

The thread will me marked "CLOSED" or "SOLD" when it sells, otherwise the lens is still available.

Thanks for looking
Selling a Canon EF 70-200L F4 IS version 1 in exc... (show quote)

I am very interested but a bit confused by the "version 1" as it originally did not have IS and yours does. If it's easier my email is tonyt@hileman.me. Thanks, Tony

As a photojournalist, it was my great privilege to have been assigned to several stories he covered in Europe, the Mideast, and northern Africa in the 1970s---though I don’t pretend to put myself in his league. Two points worth noting: At one time he was considered “the most trusted man in America,” which says something about the general regard for him. Second, journalism at that time was a first-name endeavor, except when it came to him. Everyone referred to and called him Mister Cronkite. That says something about the respect of his peers. Even in those days when journalism strived to find and report the facts, leaving the shaping of opinion to others, he was one of a kind, head and shoulders above all the rest.

Thanks, Jim. I'll let you know when it's safely in hand. I'm sure I'll have fun putting it to good use. - Tony

Jim: Everything arrived safely...eventually! It was delivered to a neighbor by a guy in a Budget truck who said he had to hand deliver it, took a picture, but didn't ask for a signature. They opened it, then noticed it was sent to me, and brought it over. So, I guess no harm no foul. Anyway, it is here and intact. May well be chasing you with questions as I get to learn the camera, but for now all is well. Thanks, T only
