Don’t CBO usually estimate a ten year cost based on the hypotheticals provided by Congress?

And it redone each year and some times when new legislation ( new spending or income ) is passed. As soon as the interest debt is forgiven it drops off the estimate it certainly does not remain on the books to be debt made up by tax payers. The $400b is pure political bull ( as long as the plan remains as future interest .)

The CBO projects a 10 year budget and the student loan principle and interest has been included. I don't know how you don't get it Denny, the loans were made, universities were paid, and the students are committed to repaying those loans, to cancel that debt is a give away and it does matter.

I don’t think you understand what I am asking or you do and don’t want to answer. When congress ( a body you constantly refer to regarding the budget process) is attempting to sell a bill they mark it up and give the CBOs some hypothetical means of funding or usually a way to mitigate the ultimate price tag. So, as was previously stated (I don’t know, someone else mentioned it) if, for instance, when selling Obama care they listed student loan repayment as part of the mark up and that funding source goes away the necessity to fund Obama care is still in place. Who or what will fund it? Again, I don’t know ultimately how the student loan repayment was committed but assuredly committed it was.

No you don’t get it. Congress approves expenditure each year CBO doesn’t . If interest income isn’t then then even CBO won’t count on it their mark up.

The $400 is foolish.

Conservatives won the Presidency when Trump was elected. The next e******n Biden was elected. I think there is a good chance this upcoming e******n Trump will be elected again. A great percentage of Americans even Democrats are not happy with POS Biden. No matter how many times he and you LIE telling us how great the economy is, no matter how many times he tells us our military is strong, no matter how many times we are told we are really doing great the t***h IS it is all a LIE and you should be smart enough to believe it. You are just not ethical or t***hful enough to actually say it.

The economy is not doing well, young people cannot buy homes and actually have no hope of ever buying a home under this type of i***tic anti American Democratic leadership. But I should rephrase that comment. There is NO leadership under this Democratic Socialist administration. The entire country has wondered for almost 4 years who the REAL President might be, Obama, George Soros, some type of group or panel who makes decisions maybe. It sure as hell is not dumb ass POS Biden. That much is a given. He literally cannot walk and chew gum, cannot walk without guidance from one of his handlers, cannot make a speech without reading the instructions out loud, his comments in any given speech must be altered afterward to show the Official White House meaning to cover up for wh**ever idiocy this Moron actually stated that is nowhere near anywhere any sort of real t***h. You all know this and yet don't have the balls to stand up for a real America by stating the t***h. You're not Stupid. You're not Morons. But you also are not strong enough to stand up for the t***h. You would rather continue telling lies trying to convince the rest of us Biden is an intelligent human being who is not corrupt, who does not lie more than any other President in history. T***h IS he really is the very worst President America has ever seen. All Americans know this as does everybody across the planet.

I don't want to point out your errors this time lil denny but just read out loud the mistakes you made in your post. Really pathetic. Why is it you are incapable of reading your own posts to see this nonsense before you click on SEND? We all make mistakes, yes even me occasionally but come on, REALLY. REALLY?????

Oh, the title of my thread is not as you point out, “ the left taking over. It’s our own fault and no one else. The title of my thread is, "The Left Taking Over". Where you come up with your own version of bulls**t is anybody's guess. Please learn to read and write. Your illiteracy is far beyond the norm even for Left Wingers.

Conservatives should have seen the hand writing on the wall in 2016 when , while winning the e*******l v**e they lost the popular v**e by near 3 million.

Yes trump may win - against Biden. Whoopee. that is the only reason it’s close . The first party to find a real candidate is going k**l the other side. Let’s hope it is republicans.

You demonstrate your ignorance with every post you make .

It wasn’t that simple . Instead of an opinion piece read some history and background

Word of advice - always take “ Opinion Piece with a grain of salt . At best it is semi factual spun to support the writers point of view

So then lil denny you are saying it is the Left who puts up candidates like Trump????? It was you who wrote, "Because we put up candidates like Trump.", wasn't it? You are still a card carrying member of the Left Wing Socialist Party aren't you?

What Conservative candidates do you want put up for e******n? I am guessing you want someone who goes along more with the Left Wing Socialist Party line. Is that true? Is that what you want?

I want a President who sticks to Conservative principles, who adheres to the Constitution and the rights it gives We the People and the delineation between limited powers for government and more powers for citizens just as the Constitution states already. That would be President Trump and definitely not anybody like Biden or some other Left Wing POS who wants to modify our rights to insure the State can take over.

Don’t act stupid. Conservatives have been on a losing streak since trump has picked as the Republican Party leader.

You know as well as I that if we had a decent moral conservatism Biden would been crushed and senate would be Republican
So don’t go off on a meaningless rant about the left. Everybody with brain already knows that.
The title of you thread was “ the left taking over. It’s our own fault and no one else.

But then again - if you still support trump - you are indeed brainless.
In a big way you are just like trump. It always somebody else faulty. No- it’s you your kind kind for you support of a loser - trump

You are not telling me where the money will come from for budget items already passed that when they were marked up and the CBO considered the repayments a monetary stream for funding other (or a portion of) programs and the costs to run those programs didn’t go away.

It did NOT come from any where because it never was. Only in accountants minds.

Did you read the whole report you posted

“ Debt cancellation: Individuals earning less than $125,000 (or $250,000 for families) a year will be eligible for up to $10,000 in debt cancellation. Pell Grant recipients earning less than $125,000 (or $250,000 for families) a year are eligible for up to $20,000 in debt reduction.
Forbearance: Student loan forbearance extended through December 31, 2022.
New Income-Driven Repayment (IDR): This plan proposes:
Capping monthly payments to 5% (relative to the current rate of 10% or more) of the discretionary income for undergraduate loan borrowers;
Covering the borrower’s unpaid monthly interest so that debt balances will not grow even when monthly payments are zero;
Raising the amount excluded from the calculation of discretionary income from 150% to 225% of the poverty line; and,
Forgiving loan balances after 10 years of payments, instead of 20 years, for borrowers with original loan balances of $12,000 or less.this
