I own Canon and Sony but the Leica SL2 gives the best illusion of being in whatever plane of focus depth. Old Leica film cameras had that ability also.
With everything so correct did you use perspective correcting lenses? And a view camera I presume.
The architectural shots I most admire by the photo masters of the past were all done on 4x5 film, where the time was spent lining everything up perfectly before the shot rather than the ps and bracketing tricks used today.

Because of the wind, you may want to raise your iso to enable faster shutter speeds even on a tripod.

Most modern and some vintage cameras can produce great images but choosing one also entails how it makes you feel and want to use it. Some people want auto functions and some want retro manual only so you have to think about each shot instead of spay and pray!
