Color and lighting are incredible. You framed it nicely.
That would look stunning on a large glass or metal print with lighting.

Unless I just missed it, no one has mentioned the aquarium in Charleston. It's been several years since we had opportunity, but I remember a number of notable exhibits, many of which were not particularly difficult to photograph competently.

If I recall, the aquarium is next to the launch for the Ft Sumpter ferry. I haven’t done either for many years. Took the kids when they were younger

I was trying to not look at all the tourist things.
There is also the USS Yorktown, the City Market, the Provost Exchange and so much more.
If you are into architecture and history, the Preservation Society on King Street has tons of information. There are home tours in October, very interesting.

There are so many marshes and all will provide great experiences. One that is easy to get to is Shem Creek. It is across the Cooper River.

If you get further south there is the Caw Caw along US 17.

Several locations along the Ashley River on the way to Drayton Hall and Magnolia plantation.

October is a great time to visit Charleston

Catch the East Battery at sunrise. As the sun rises over the bay, then turn around and watch the mansions light up.

Gardens and garden gates throughout the Historic District make for great pics.

Don’t forget to make your way to one of the many marsh areas for all sorts of opportunities.

Rooftop bars are great u to o capture some cool sunset pics.

Enjoy Charleston! We live in Hilton Head about 70 miles south and frequent Charleston
