Very nice integration of the blooms with your bridge. My GRR (long since FF) never sprouted such beauties.

My mother, who died 5 years ago at age 101, would unwittingly drive charity scammers nuts. She sent one “charity” some money once and got some cheap beads in return, “made by the kids in appreciation for her donation”. Well, now they had her number and I warned her she was being scammed. She acknowledged that it could be, but when they called again she would get in a long conversation with them, asking how the money was being used, did the kids enjoy the things that her donation funded, etc., then sometimes she gave more, but more often she didn’t. I think after a while they probably used her as a training call for rookies. For all I know she might have been on a first name basis with them.

How about You?
Late 1950’s in southwest Wisconsin, -50f, don’t remember if they gave wind chill back then, I was only 7 or 8. At the “official “ weather station 15 miles down the road, -55f was reported.
Well said, Bridges, in your original post. Sadly the meanness extends into nearly every topic, not just equipment discussions, as evidenced more than once in the 8 pages of comments. I used to try to find time every day to review the daily UHH posts, now it’s weekly and fading fast.
Thanks for stating your opinion.
I was in 8th grade in a Catholic grade school, heard about it while at home for lunch. Someone brought a big “portable” radio (meaning it only took one person to carry it into the classroom) and we heard the official word on that. The nuns were doubly distraught because not only was the President dead, but the first Catholic President was dead.
Just walkin’ the neighborhood.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful place. We spent two nights in Siena at the end of May and are planning to go back within the next year.
Thanks. It’s tempting isn’t it? We spent 3 days, should have added 1 more.
