In your first shot, that is a great contrast between the slow, silky water and the sharp verticals slashed through the boulders. Teddy
Those are exquisite. Being a stringer of beads, my mind immediately went to work imagining how to make a pearl necklace like your first photo. Lovely.

Yes, that is a junior Robin. Sometimes they are oddly tame and let you get quite close to them.

I had just used the battery a few weeks before. I did not know that the batteries drained steadily and it could kill them. I don't charge them every time I use them. Thanks for that info.
It is amusing that you called her "angelic": That ring she threw looks like a slightly twisted halo.
Great, I'd appreciate that. Amusingly, I have a small group of friends who now also want to see that. My sister was originally suggesting that there was a Loch Ness monster swirling down in that water, making the whirpool.
Judging by the looks, everything is VERY frozen--is that whirpool somehow frozen, too? Do you know what made/makes it? Or is it salt water, and so maybe not frozen after all? Even so, that whirpool is intriguing.
That is stunning and otherworldly. Love the foreground, too.
How sad to lose your little friend and such a comfort. I hope you are doing OK and can remember him with some happiness, too.
I like the "one eye more in focus" look. It makes Oscar look like he is evaluating exactly what is going on here. Really looks like he is thinking.

What do you think of the "wind-swept" feel? Would appreciate critique.
I like it immensely: To me, it has a fever dream quality with a frantic, city feeling. Quite other-worldly.

No, it would be great to get this Tamron repaired. As I said, I did a new search and found a shop here in this city that will repair them, that Tamron's site did not mention.
No, I don't want to mail it anywhere, for fear of damage in transit. But I skipped the Tamron site with its mistaken thoughts of former shops still doing their repairs years after they closed and just did a Google for shops and found one 'way across town. I will try them, as I can hand-deliver my lens there.
No, can't bear to pitch it. But I am looking for a replacement for the lens, another macro zoom.
