"I have been using an 85mm Nikkor lens with ... a Nikon D3x"
From your post in this thread: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-771262-2.html
avraham like you I have and use the Nikon D3x extensively and I've been paying the bills with the same piece of kit on my Nikon D3x for over a decade, the D3x has paid for itself many times over.

That said, I've only a few Sports/Action clients... I'm primarily in the Beauty/Fashion Genre where IQ is paramount. If you're interested in the D5's ultra fast Frame Rate you may enjoy UHH's Sports Forum where Frame Rate is more critical than IQ... Your D3x has the same resolution (i.e. IQ) as the Nikon D5...

Here is a comparison of the Nikon D5 to the Nikon D3x on DxOmark
https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Compare/Side-by-side/Nikon-D5-versus-Nikon-D3X___1062_485
This is why I'm very content with the captures my Nikon D3x achieves...
And my clients are also very pleased with their Deliverables...
In my humble estimation absolutely nothing else really matters avraham

However if Frame Rate is a priority have you considered the Nikon Z9?
Hope this helps... All the best on your photographic journey avraham

Thanks to all, and once again my apologies for the initial post. I placed my order of 30 with Bay, and they seem very professional.

I did offer some printing services in my reply. BayPhoto, Artstorefronts and Adoramapix

Thank you, I did in fact place the order with Bay Photo, and they seem to be very professional. I appreciate the advice.

If that’s the question, my answer is Bay Photo. Be sure to download the BayRoes ap and ICC profile if want to do soft proofing and save on color correction.

Thank you, and others, I placed the 30 print order with them earlier today.

Please disregard my "disappointed" post, it should not have been posted and I appreciate the responses received.

There are four recommendations (two in one reply, three total responses). Have you contacted each?

Do you feel that people are withholding valuable knowledge as some sort of punishment?

Would you prefer "guesses" rather than experience (often what fills the pages here)?

Yes, I have requests for bids out, no, I do not prefer guesses, and certainly was looking for experienced comments. Thank you for your response.

If I had any useful info on the subject, I would certainly have responded. Nothing personal!

Thank you, I appreciate your response, and I regret having posted my comment.

I've always been very selective, (early 1970s), on which photos to actually have printed.
Always sent them out to a professional printer when I did.
Thought buying a color printer, read the reviews, read about maintenance, issues with unpredictable color usage, costs and quality of paper and ultimately decided to keep sending them out to professionals.
The only color printers I EVER managed were purchased from a vendor, together with a 2-hour, on-call service contract.

Thank you very much, I should not have posted my comment, I appreciate your response.

I recently posted a request for advice on printers to which I received a total of 2 replies - for those two I am grateful. I believe I have gone out of my way to be complimentary to many, many, many, of the Hogs over the last 5-6 years, often for the effort shown more than results, and I must say I am very disappointed by the response.

M-Pix does a great job with excellent customer service.

A friend uses Shutterfly which he likes very much.

Thank you for that, we will look into them as well.
