Gorgeous shots - and there's nothing like a peacock unless it's a male turkey displaying all its colors 💙💚💙💚💙

Thanks for the compliment. You are right about the wild turkeys. However, they seem to be more elusive and do not venture too far away from the woods. Welcome to the group.

I like to watch the critters through my front window and venture out only when the bird feeders need refilling.

Great variety watching of birds at your feeders. I see that the cat doesn't limit his/her bird watching to the comfort of the front window.

This is a lovely trio of photographs Pat. Thank you for introducing me to another of your talents and passions.

Four more:meerkats, woods paths, red panda and our Lionel.

I like the woodland path and Lionel the best. They exude calm while the meerkat and red panda are cute.

Tim, I really like what you did with the fire theme. You really captured the movement of a real fire burning in the fireplace.

There is nothing that warms up a boring winter day more than an unexpected splash of vibrant color in a dormant field. Finding peacocks in an open field is such a crazy experience. There were 40 peacocks the first time that I saw them. My housemate convinced me that I must have been dreaming since neither of us saw them again. Well it has been four years since that sighting and my neighbor starts talking about the peacocks that she saw. So armed with my camera, I went looking for the peacocks. There are fewer peacocks but they are still a beautiful sight to behold.

To improve my mood on dreary winter days and to stay warm in winter, I like to experiment with converting photos to orbs, twirls and kaleidoscopes. I also play around with Photoshop blending modes and filters. These experiments can be categorized as "a guilty pleasure" and can easily become addictive.
