In your original post in the general section you mentioned your considerations for an external flash. There are various Chinese brand flashes you can look at, sold thru Amazon for example (Neewer, Meike). These single head flashes can give good results if you use a diffuser that helps direct the light forward and down. Designs like this: https://www.amazon.com/Altura-Photo-Universal-Collapsible-Speedlight/dp/B06Y6NVQ48/ref=sxin_10_ac_d_pm?ac_md=2-0-VW5kZXIgJDIw-ac_d_pm&cv_ct_cx=Flash%2Bdiffuser&dchild=1&keywords=Flash%2Bdiffuser&pd_rd_i=B01ERRQ802&pd_rd_r=515b742b-a230-4a05-8df3-a9379f833034&pd_rd_w=BOBrB&pd_rd_wg=Pisrh&pf_rd_p=7bce1efb-5229-4289-8758-b64b1d02cfb8&pf_rd_r=AH810WZZHJRSWD0SCP8H&qid=1602854399&sr=1-1-22d05c05-1231-4126-b7c4-3e7a9c0027d0&th=1
But you can make your own as well. The diffuser is the biggest challenge. One needs to lay awake at night wondering if their diffuser could be better.

Thank you that's very helpful. I have seen two small LEDs on flexible arms at a good price and wonder how good they are?

Hi guys. I would love to learn to shoot macro properly. I used to use a bridge camera and close up filter. However, I purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mkiii and treated myself to my first proper macro lens the Olympus 60mm f/2.8. I am looking for advice on any good books out there to buy for macro but also what sort of flash to get for macro? I don't want to spend more than around £50 on a flash at the moment however. Thanks in advance

Hi guys and gals. Has anyone got any recommended settings for the FZ200 when shooting macro. I am shooting at the telephoto end already. Also any suggestions for a good but not too expensive close up lens. I have watched Graham Houghton videos but wondered if anyone else had any other setting ideas. TIA

The FZ200 can take some great macro photos. I've owned a couple Lumix cameras (FZ150, FZ1000) and have had a lot of fun with them. My daughter has the FZ300 now. There's a nice gentleman on YouTube, Graham Houghton, who has done quite a few videos specifically on how to get the most out of the FZ200. He has some great advice on how to do some stunning macro, landscape, and still life photos.

The main issue (which you're probably already aware of) is the small sensor, so low-light situations aren't very fun.

I've made the jump to full frame mirrorless with my Z6, but don't regret my time shooting with the Panasonic bridge cameras.

Thanks. I have been studying up with Graham's videos on landscape. I have done a little bit of macro work and don't mind it to be honest just feel where I live there is some stunning landscapes to be shot (now I've thought about it haha). I just want the camera to get me through another year or so and get me back into taking photos more often more than anything. I picked it up for £100 brand new last January so it won't owe me anything 😄

The Deben was top of my hit list as it also runs straight through my village. I sure will post here when I've been out

Street photography is something I'd never considered so that's well worth a thought cheers. I hear you the tripod is there for when I need it more than anything. Thought Christmas was a good time to ask for one in order to save myself some money lol.
