Hi. I am very new to all of this. I have been on a number of different forums that discussed using the iPhone and a siting scope to achieve some fairly nice moon shots. I’m interested in doing that, but I’m having a problem getting good information about the type of scope I should be looking for in the $100-200 range. Being new to it, I don’t want to invest a lot until I am sure my interest will continue and grow.
I am interested in buying a scope that will give me some moon features in photographs, as well as being able to use it for wildlife photography around my small lake.
Since my primary use of the scope will be wildlife photography, I just need to know what power and lens diameter is needed to get the definition of the features of the moon I’m looking for.
Any questions, guidance, and recommendations are welcome.
Thanks.
Thanks! In your message you wrote, “the pictures. If you attached photos taken with the scope and lenses, I did not get them.
I was unsuccessful getting any results when I googled 50x5000 sighting scope. Maybe yours is not a sighting scope but a telescope?
Could you tell me the make and model of yours? That would give me a starting place. Also, the approximate price of yours?
The scopes I’ve looked at range wildly in price.
I can see that this one went through.
Maybe it was a problem with my iPad?
