Welcome, Chuck. I'm new to the forum myself. I look forward to learning (and hopefully eventually contributing) lots! :)
Thanks, Jeff! Much appreciated.
Apologies for the confusion. I shot this with my Samsung Galaxy S9+ camera but am planning to purchase a Nikon D3500. I was referencing how much better the shot could have been if I'd had a Nikon zoom lens. :)
Thanks, Dick!
Much appreciated.
Thanks, Blair!

Thanks for the compliment and enlightening me on the species, Doc!
Much appreciated. :)
Thanks, Mike! Much appreciated.
Thanks for the nice compliment, JoAnne. I've seen an abundance of dragonflies in North Carolina this year. I'll send some your way. :)
Thanks for the nice compliment, Tracey! :)
I was lucky enough to capture this beautiful dragonfly on my nature walk this morning using my Samsung Galaxy S9+. He/she sat still on the rail long enough for me to capture it up close. I was pretty pleased with the level of clarity and detail. I'm excited to be able to capture shots like this with a Nikon zoom lens!
Thanks, Mike! Happy to be here, and hope to become an active participant in the forum.
Thanks very much! This is a whole new world for me and I'm excited about beginning to explore it.

Hey Mike. Thanks so much for your kind welcome, and your nice words about my flower pictures. They are, indeed, all mine and as you can see, I'm pretty drawn to them.
I very much appreciate all the camera recommendations, as well as that of the macro lens.
This is a whole new world to me, but I'm really excited to be exploring it.

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll check it out. This is a whole new world to me, but I'm excited to get started.
Thanks, Erik. That is sage advice!
