Walked the dog and spotted the Swallows Flitting about. Dead noon clear day 58F.
Heat shimmer gave the AF schizoid embolisms. Had to try to capture Swallows on the wing using manual focus with the 600pF handheld. Managed a few. The one posted has a painterly effect without using Topaz.

The Flush was caused by an off-leash dog. The dog also caused the Sanderlings to launch and maneuver desperately.

Baby Killdeer-super cute! Head distortion ruined most of my shots:-( Luv how the flame' is clinging to the young bird.

Z9, 600pF.

Download and enjoy!

My buddy arranged for a boat to take us up the Pascagoula River and into the swamplands. I had told him prior to the trip that I didn't want to be in the same place with alligators and, sure enough, we never saw a single gator in the swamp. Wonder how he pulled that off?!

I had the 28-300mm FF lens with me on my D750, on the off chance I might get the opportunity to photograph some birds close enough to show up. It was a stretch, but I did get a few keepers as reminders of my first trip to the swamp.

I found myself using the S24+ for many of the landscapes, though, and the D750 on the birds.

Her hair was blown out, the background was uninteresting, her eyes weren't sharp, her teeth weren't sharp. even the cropping was inadequate. I just wasn't happy with it. Today, I spent some time in PS Beta, correcting everything. It took some time, but I'm really happy. It'll never win an award, but my daughter, the girl-child's momma, will be happy.

The flowers on this bush rarely survive to create apples. In the last 9 years, it has had fruit twice. I just ordered one of those 6 inch chainsaws so I can trim it this year. Hopefully, after that, it will do better. I have cropped these severely so they are not the best.
