Great shots ! I shoot a D300 and these shots tempt me to go to a D700.

Thank you for the response and the compliment. Yes, it is good to have such an enjoyable past time. These shots have been taken in West Virginia - just south of Elkins about 12 or so miles. I have been in the Smokies and it is so beautiful ~ love it. WV has some very nice scenery and I will bo posting some as we go along.

Hello, My name is Richard and I started taking photos in 2005 with a Nikon point and shoot. Bought my first SLR in September,2006 ~ a Nikon D70s and bought my D300 a short time later. I am experiencing a growing collection of lenses, filters, lighting and other "stuff" that I just have to have. This addicting !! Learning as I go and loving every minute of it. I have enjoyed looking at some of the great shots on this site.

I have purchased several items from ebay and have been pleased with every purchase. Type into the search area the lens you want I expect that someone will have it at a reasonable price. Be sure to check the condition description and review the rating assigned to the seller by ebay and also set up a pay pal account. Be careful where you put your credit card number. Good luck.

Thanks! Yes, I have read that it is called a Hummingbird Moth or Clear Wing moth ( googled it) - both being indicated in the Sphink Moth family, so stated by the University of Kentucky Entomologist. There are several, probably hundreds, of different looking moths listed on their page being called "Sphinx Moths"
Thank you for your kind comments. I certainly enjoy looking at other folks photos and learning from them.

Somewhat new and learning as I go. Would like to see photos with Exif data. Feel free to offer any suggestions.
