I, too, am into model railroading and have attended many shows over the years. Quite often club layouts will have plexiglass sheets surrounding the layout to protect it from little hands from grabbing a shiny locomotive off a moving train. Those sheets might interfere with photography. Good luck.

There are lots of female diesel locomotive engineers or operators (more modern term).
An old signal control box that is no longer in use. Everything is digital now. Is the nearby railroad still in use?

The Ghost Hunters Eastern State episode was just on the A&E channel Wednesday, October 9.
I have had those calls for a long time. The first was a problem "on your IRS... we will call the local cops..." The local "cops" and not federal marshals or Secret Service agents? Recently it has been SSA and I am to call a number back which I have tried but the number just rings and rings and finally disconnects. I have gotten these on both my land line and cell phone. I have wanted to talk to them and hassle them. Our local police cannot do much about it because they often "spoof" a phone number; usually a local number which is no longer in service or has been disconnected.
I can't buy it now and it sounds like I am lucky. Thanks to all who replied.

Recently, I tried to purchase online the InPixio Photo Clip software as advertised on this site. I entered all of my information and clicked the purchase and my payment was declined. I rechecked everything and since everything was correct (I'm not a "newby" at buying online), I clicked "Try Again". Same thing. I canceled out and went to check my bank account and there were 6 attempts to charge my card for $29.99, the cost of the software. Working online with the bank, I could understand 2 attempts but 6? The bank concluded, as did I, that this was a fraud attempt. The bank canceled my card and is sending me a new one.
Has anyone had a problem purchasing software from InPixio?

I thought this site was about photography and not about f**e news from the Certainly No News network. :)

Seems due to a new law companies are now required to charge sales tax on online purchases for out of state buyers. Anyone know of ways to skirt that? B&H is offering a credit card that pays your sales tax for you but I'm leery about getting another card online because of the personal information you have to give up, possible hidden fees etc. Also I need another CC like a hole in the head.
Sellers on eBay do nothing. eBay will calculate the sales tax, add the amount to the invoice, collect and pay the tax to the appropriate state. Not all states have implemented this yet but they will as I understand it.
