I have been using vintage lenses exclusively with my Olympus e-30, hand held and AP. I don't know why the previous poster thought they wouldn't work with DSLRs? Of course you need to stop the lens down manually, but otherwise everything seems to go smoothly, and automatically.

I never found a replacement camera

You might want to check shopgoodwill.com.

I have seen some Olympus DSLR cameras there for cheap.

Beware of the shipping and handling charges tho. Some local stores really pad the final bill, and others are much more reasonable. Ebay might be another venue.

Do you happen to know whether Aperture 3 will open Olympus ORF images?

I did down load Olympus software, but find the fonts are so small I can't really work with it.

Capture One Pro, Helicon Focus and .Orf files

I have just downloaded the Olympus Workspace but find the text is so small I can't use it or even get to know it comfortably.

Any remedies for this?
