With 35mm cameras f16 on down is good but for older large format lenses they went to f64-=128 with swings and tilts to get more depth of field. I found on my old Kodak Medalist f11 seemed to be the sweet spot. Great lens the Ektar.
To me that is perfect composition. But the rag weed would make me sneeze .
Nice and detailed for a full moon
I have noticed on e bay someone is selling a grip housing that holds battery cover closed on t50 and 70. If the door metal is corroded badly it could be replaced with metal that comes in the kit. Now if the corrosion has gotten to the deep contacts there is a good chance it is toast.
Having purchased from KEH in past many times on used gear I was pleased to find it much better than describe.
Great photo and a great old car.
Wonderful photo and I agree with you on the work of his hands.
The only thing that I noticed is that the newer fd/n is that you are dragging the flange across the mount each time you change lenses, not a biggie but the breech mount don't do that. Optically they are very close but the ssc coating was a bit better. That's why I always use a lens shade.
The small prints 4x6 are automatically done in the Noritsu or what ever, The enlargements they take better care with. I have seen the same thing. Where I live we have a Meijers store and they send it out , the negs are great but the prints have a slight magenta cast. I think I will send my next film to a store called Hite photo in Troy mi. They were always better. I just got lazy with last roll and since it was to check out a canon t50 not a problem
An up date on the ftql ,yesterday I spent the day changing out the screen with one from a parts t50, Now I have the only ftql with a brighter screen that is just as bright as a t50. Took me hours to get the screen to show infinity setting correctly.
I haven't modified any fd lenses just repair some sticky aperture leaves.
The main reason I stick to film is the high cost of equipment and being on a fixed income, still develop with d76. The next investment might be a film scanner. Just finished touching up the roller spring adjustment on one of my ftql film bodies. Good to 1/1000 now. This is the one I swapped the prism on. If I get lazy I will use the t70 , Mine had a broken cover tab which I had to fix. My way was different. I took the plate off and where the end screw was inside the battery chamber I drilled carefully drilled a hole down so I could use a 6-32 threaded shaft and cut off excess and got a brass knurled nut to hold cover down. Had to cut a small hole in the bottom of inside of carrying case to make room for nut. I know it sounds like a lot of work but keeps this old man out of trouble...
Yes rook2c4 that is very true. That is part of the reason I was doing camera repair. With eyesight problems I find it easier to to vintage radio restoration, easier to see larger parts.
