I am searching for a flip style (think "rolodex") 3x5 or 4x6 phone display thingy. If that is not available I am looking for 3x5 clear photo sleeves that I can use as refill pages on an older version that I have. I am looking to display about 200 pictures (landscape) on a base that allows for continuous flipping of the pics.
Thank you all for your feedback. I appreciate the kind words and the criticisms as well. That is the only way any of us gets any better in our crafts. Until next time...thanks.
Just looking for some constructive criticism of these shots. Thanks for looking...

Here are some shots I took on a photowalk last week in the Beacon Hill section of Boston. Let me know what you think of them.

I am looking at an Opteka Variable ND filter on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-Multi-Coated-Variable-Neutral-Density/dp/B004R4KT24/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329757594&sr=8-1) listed for $20, with a regular price of $200. I am wondering if this filter is worth the $20 and why would they reduce the price from $200 to $20 if it were worth anything even close to $200. It may not be a $200 filter, but for $20 maybe it is worth it. Does anyone have any experience with Opteka filters and be willing to share your opinion?
Thanks.
I would love to personally thank each and every one that has served...for now, this venue will have to do.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!
There are MANY ways to accomplish this. You can also go to a site that allows you to generate a textual logo (here is one example of such a site http://www.flamingtext.com/ ). There you can shoose the font to use, color, size, etc... and then save it as a jpg file. Then when you have your image open in PSP open the logo file, choose copy, then paste it where you want it on the picture you want to copyright. You should also be able to resize the logo to your liking. After you place it where you want it make sure you flatten it so that it is not a separate image, but rather they are a group. That makes stealing it just one step more difficult. But if someone really wants the image they're probably gonna get it anyway. Remember...Never work with the original photo file, immediately make a copy before you do any editing. That way you can always go back to the original.

Nice photos, I agree with your view of this winter. I live outside of Troy, the landscape and weather is not condusive to photos. Will be going to NYC tomorrow for medical appointment, recent lung transplant, I keep a small note book of points of interest that could be worth trip in Spring. You may want to look into the Postenkill Creek for the falls and dams along it. No snow or ice formations but it is flowing water. Keep the faith
good luck and God bless...
I agree with the others, #1 seems to convey the presence of the lighthouse the best.

I think #1 is best compositionally... but I do like the freight train in #3.. I'm just not moved by the shot on a whole.

I, too, like the first shot's comp best. The second shot doesn't have anything in it to add perspective, although it is a REALLY nice, clear picture of the structure. And the third image (IMHO) has too much in the frame. I think the train gets lost at the bottom. I didn't even notice it until I read your comment about it.

On the first one I would like to see a little more focus around the leaves. On the second one I am not a fan of how you used the selective coloring. I would like to see what it looks like entirely in color. I find the third one interesting, but don't really have a critique on it right now.
I just added the original shot. I think the original is a better picture, but was looking to do something different with it in the first one I posted.
These are random shots from my collection. Feel free to offer any helpful comments.
Thanks.

I often find myself out shooing with a tripod and because the FZ47 doesn't allow for a remote shutter release I use the self timer to reduce camera shake. I have to keep setting it for each pic. I've looked through the manual and online for help in getting it to be the default setting, but have had no luck. Any other thoughts?
Thanks.
While on a tripod (and sometimes not) I use the 2 second timer as well. I wish there was a way for me to set that so it stays on until I manually turn it off. It gets tedious having to keep setting it for every shot.
To me it looks like he is getting up from the table in front of him, not golf. If you look to the wall/doorway on the left edge of the picture you can see a similar (maybe same) green light. I can't say how it got there, but would say it is definitely a reflection from somewhere off to the left of the scene.
I just did a batch of about 200 old pics and am pleasantly surprised with the results. I used Paint Shop Photo Pro X3. After some practice it became a failry quick process, usually using the same 3 or 4 steps to achieve the results I wanted. They are not perfect, but there were some very old (low quality) photos that I got to be pretty clear. I was starting with the old photos and not the negatives because that was all I had available to me. Fade Correction was probably the most useful.
