This Target, left Matte paper, Right Target Gloss. 36 inches to Focal Plane Marker.
The D3200 and Lenses, are going back to the Dealer, which I bought them from Saturday, for calibration along with several prints.
What puzzles me, is that both lenses, won't focus, hand held or on a tripod. Manual or Auto focus, yet they do focus beyond fifty foot distance. Still not as sharp as a old Coolpix 995, purchased 2002.
Nikon instructions state at Least a 24 inch distance from Object to Lenses is required. From 4 foot to at least 25 feet and beyond are where the lenses (both) are the problem.

I'll forward you a couple photos of different subjects. (the ones I had problems with have been Deleted)
I'll replicate them.
Thanks again, with the advice of the Hedgehogs, I have learned a lot. I am not a Professional Photographer.
I am 78 years old, and thought the 3200 was my last camera. What I have learned, is that Photo and all
Technology improve at a rapid pace. Now, Electronic Equipment becomes Obsolete, the day it is introduced.
The Human operating the equipment needs to keep a open mind to New Technology.
It is the Creativity of the Photographer which, with the right equipment, that makes a Difference.
From, what I've been reading the D3200 and kit lenses are a starter DSLR. I guess I out grew it. I expected it to be as good or better than my 15 year old Nikon.
It was my 5th Single Lens Reflex. The best of the bunch was Canon EOS Rebel XS, using a Tamron Aspherical 28-200MM.
Before I retired my cameras and I were able to visit 49 States, Southeast Asia,Europe, South America and many Pacific and Atlantic Islands.
I just expected the 3200 to do better.
Time to Buy UP.
Thanks for the responses.
Thanks Hogs. I wish I had access to the Hedgehog before I bought my second Nikon. The photo images, just aren't as sharp, as to my first Nikon digital, which which was 15 years old when the main component died. the D3200's replacement may not be a Nikon.
Do any of the Hogs have any recommendations, for hardware and software to accomplish Calibrating the Lenses? Thanks in advance.
A friend of mine asked a question regarding Digital Cameras, "Why 32 Megabyte?" he was referring to Sensors?
This morning I read about Sony's 61 Mb Sensor Camera to be released this Fall.
