The guy said he was just starting. But if we are going to get picky LOL!! here is what I would do with this image. It is not great because I am working with a low res file so the pixels are not there.

Read up on the rule of 1/3. Try not to put the horizon in the middle of the shot. See note on image.

This was a quick edit on a very low res image from the site. Using magic brush select the subjects then select inverse. Use Gaussian blur but not too much. Then burn in at 20%. I also used Nik Color efex pro 4 to increase the detail. Hope this helps. If you decide you want Nik Software you can use my discount code rwicker
