That looks like good advice depending on your equipment.
I would like to add that a full Moon is not a good time to take a photo of the moon!
A filter will help or Photoshop or what ever you use.
A 1/2 or 1/4 moon is the best time to get great shots of the craters.
They have a shadow that makes them pop.
Just saying.
Moon shots. When I first tried to take a photo of the moon they all came out like a white ball.
It was dark and so you need a longer exposure, wrong. Shoot like it's noon on a sunny day.
Now depending on your equipment all kinds of setting apply.
Here is one I took at 1/500 with an old used Nikon 500mm mirror lens on my D810.
I'm saying it's the best I have seen or tried.
As usual lots of comments on this one.
I took several classes at college in Photoshop from the same teacher over a few years
so I could keep up with the changes made in the software.
She told the class the best way to sharpen a photo was by using Unsharp mask under
filter in Photoshop.
After years of doing this and trying other ways she was 100% correct!!!!!
it works great!
Same here on my D810.
The other 10% is my 105 macro.
Windows, is that some kind of virus?
Yes great lens.
Even though it's not light I take it backpacking and have taken it down the Colorado in the Grand Canyon twice.
Take a class at a Community College.
They also will let you buy Photoshop at a lover price the last time I attended.
It will be fun and you will learn a lot.
Layers, this is the same bird and the bush is also about 6 layers.
I agree. I have one and it has become my main lens!
With a fixed F4 you don't heed to worry about zooming and have the wrong light setting.
A really great lens.
I had the old one but got the newer F4 one. It rocks!
I have been leaving my tripod in the car for years in the summer.
No problem yet.
I used it last night to take photos of some night blooming cactus.
I have 5 tripods some cost more than the carbon fiber but I use the CF the most.
It is light and works good.
Great Photo!
Reminds me of Phoenix in the summer. :)
That's great but not why I got it.
Weight is the only reason!
It's a great light tripod!
Well I wanted something that weighted less for 60 mile backpacking trips.
I got it and it works great!
I got a carbon tripod 10 years ago to take backpacking in the Grand Canyon and for raft trips in the Canyon.
It have been in heat, snow and banged around in my car and backpack.
It still looks like new.
Robert
I got two Lexar card from Fry's.
Both failed in about 6 weeks.
Never again!
