those eagles are really something. May I ask what type of equipment you used to capture those photos?

Thank you very much for your thoughts and advice. We have bided on some Nikon Coolpix b500 cameras on eBay but have not bought one yet. I'm a little nervous about buying one on the internet. We feel certain we will become Nikon people because of the way they feel in our hands and because of future possibilities... Ths again.

We think we would like to photograph animals both domestic and wildlife. Also some landscape and nature photos. Everyday life kinds of things.
I live in King William county Virginia which is between Richmond and Williamsburg (sort of).
Thank you Mr. Rubin. I really hadn't thought about becoming committed to a particular brand of camera by way of necessary accessories. I think we are going to go with Nikon because we prefer the way it feels in our hands compared to the lower end Canon camera we have held.

Hi Everybody,
My name is Steve and my wife and I are hoping to learn to take good photos. We are in our 60's and would like to take up a hobby together and thought photography might be something we could both enjoy. We know very little about photography but are able to appreciate a "pretty picture" when we see one and would like to learn how to make some.
I would like to know what kind of digital cameras to buy that don't break the bank (under $500 if possible). We are looking at Nikon Coolpix b500 and Canon and the Powershot SX 530. As well as the Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR. Any thoughts or recommendations would certainly be appreciated. Thank you very much and may God continue to bless you all.
