I guess there is no one post production that fits all. Experiment, experiment, experiment and when you find the product you feel most comfortable with, stick with it. That is how I found Luminar 4.
I have used Elements and Lightroom before switching over to Luminar. First 3 and now 4. Luminar 4 is to my liking and I would strongly recommend for your daughter. You purchase it, you own it, no monthly fees.
Like any activity, at least for me, it is important to know the rules, understand them and then you can deviate from them. That is where your creative abilities come into play.
I too enjoy Luminar 4 and of all the post production products, at least for this reporter, Luminar works best for me. The only drawback for me was occasionally it shuts down and I have to re-boot it and twice I lost my graphic design and couldn’t go on until it was put back on.
Lately I have been bombarded with information on the Lumina cube panel. I presently have a speedlite on my Canon 5D Mark four. Does anyone have information on the Lume Cube as it compares with the Canon speedlite?
I have used Lightroom but I was looking for something else. I’m not 60 years old anymore and as easy as Lightroom is I was looking for something with less challenges. I found it in Luminar and I highly recommend it. Luminar 4 is the newest version and is fun to work with. Check out utube Specifically Jim Nix.
Thank you all for your illuminating responses. I was considering purchasing the Lume Cube but unless someone sheds “new light” on the subject I will stick with my speedlite.
I have used Picasa and was satisfied with the program. I could not transfer it to my new computer so I switched to Luminar 3. I would recommend that program to you. Easy to use with very good results. An upgrade will be coming out shortly.
I also used Picasa but when I could not transfer to my new computer. Have purchased Luminar 3 and it is a wonderful program. I would highly recommend it.
