From Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT. Not so astronomical as most of the others posted, but they show what we saw without much adjustment. Using Fujifilm X-T3 with 70-300 Zoom and monopod for the first two; last one hand-held.
For me, photography is all about the process. Why would anyone who loves taking--making--images want to give that up?
I used an extra SSD to create a "scratch disk" where Photoshop does much of its work. Having it separate from the drive where the app is installed speeds the process considerably.
I looked. In Preferences>File Associations, Fujifilm Camera Raw (.raf) is associated with Adobe Photoshop 2023 24.0.
Thanks. Tried that without success. My extra step is noted above. Adjust in ACR, click "Open," then back in Bridge, right-click on image & select "Open in Photoshop."
Thanks, but that's not a solution. RAW files are not listed (such as RAF, Fuji's RAW extension) because they open in Adobe Camera RAW. The problem I ran into is opening an adjusted image from ACR in Photoshop by clicking "Open."
I received an email from Adobe support instructing me to close all Adobe processes, rename all "Camera Raw" files "Camera Raw.old" and providing a link to reinstall Camera Raw 14.5. I did all this & the problem persisted, at least with the files that were problematic earlier. Then I tried something else: In Bridge, I right-clicked on the images that have been problematic & selected "Open with Photoshop." The images opened in Camera Raw & when I clicked "Open," they opened in Photoshop. I guess this a workaround I will use if I have problems in the future, until this problem sorts itself out. Thanks to all for comments.
Thanks. I tried that this morning, had a 1 1/2 hour remote session, uninstalled & reinstalled Bridge, no change. I just uninstalled & installed prior version of ACR (14.5), no change. Reinstalled ACR 15.0, now it works with some images, not others.
Windows 10 updates every month, but I went through this ritual last weekend (after the most recent update) with no problem. I have also restarted my PC a couple of times in recent days, with no other issues.
I upload my newest images via Bridge, double-click on an image I want to edit, and it opens in Camera Raw. When finished making adjustments, I click "Open." Until yesterday, that opened the image in Photoshop. Now, it simply closes the image, and to open it in Photoshop, I must open Photoshop, find the image and open it again. It seems a setting has changed, but I can't find it. Any suggestions to get me back where I was?
On a couple of occasions, when new lenses have been announced, but are not available, I've pre-ordered from the usual sources (B&H, Adorama, Amazon) and Unique. Unique has consistently managed to deliver before anyone else. Terrific to deal with.
It has saved my life twice, once following a hard drive crash, and once following a disastrous Window "update." Both times, I was able to recover my entire operating system and applications in a few hours. Reinstalling Windows is easy enough, but then there are all the apps & settings to deal with.
You can also try Microsoft Image Composite Editor, a free download that has worked for me when Photoshop doesn't.
This is a good deal, but shop around. The XT-4 has a little more, but not much, especially after the most recent firmware update, which brings auto-focus up to the same level as the XT-4. The XT-3 is a terrific camera & the 16-80 lens hits the sweet spot.
