I have about 3 varieties in my subdivision park. Marsh areas of East Texas & all of the Gulf are highly populated.

Plenty of herons in Texas & Louisiana. I doubt there are any restrictions in seeing them. Liberal have not taken over here yet.

Houston bound

There is a famous waterfall near the Transco tower in the Galleria near 610 W loop & Westheimer that lots of photographers use for photo shoots. Of course there are many others suggested by the other hogs.
