I thought pollinators were insects. My wife corrected me--they are bushes. She then bought some and planted them in her backyard plot. She has several plots around the house, planted tightly with her bushes. The first shot is the pollinator assortment before planting. The rest are of the beautiful result.
There are so many of these around here, and so many photographers who are better than I am, I wonder that I have not seen cicada photos here. the first shot is of the shell they wear when under ground. The second shot is of the reddish orange eyed monster itself. Wish i could upload the noise they make.
My wife and late mother-in-law on the other hand have green thumbs. Any suggestions?

Went to Quiet Waters Park yesterday.
My rose of sharron have finally started to bloom. They do seem to harbor a lot of small livestock.

Early in August My wife took me to Cape May. I thought there was nothing there but the beach. There are actually boat tours that take people birding. That's where these were taken.
I thought Cape May was just the beach. I took a ride on the Osprey.
Just registered after lurking and looking at the photos made by very talented photographers for about a year. I have been taking photography classes for most of the year. I have a lot of work to do.
After the Fall colors comes the clean-up. It rained a lot here and I didn't clear the leave off the patio in time. The tannin from the leaves did a number on the concrete. It caught my eye, so here's a shot.
