Yes, an old cement wall. This vehicle was sitting semi covered in a carport type structure.

Thank you! Yes his signs were spelled wrong ...
Photogafers Paradise (probably deliberately) but lots of fun... and lots of other fun signs...
.
I have a couple other type of images I plan to share that also have some public albums and would love feedback. I've been working hard to hone my skills.
hmm, not real fast though - was hoping for a 2.8.... but a good deal... thanks! I go there quite often... in fact, have traded in a few things, too, and purchased. Will check it out.
I didn't the other posted, since I hadn't downsized it. Couldn't figure out how to delete. Sorry for the duplication.
A photographer's paradise... here's one of many... I really enjoyed shooting there.
My public album on FB is here... feel free to critique.

Some I like alot, some are so-so. :) Here's one of my favorites though. (attached).
17-85 huh? that sounds interesting. didn't know there was one... I imagine it might be out of my budget. Yes, I use back button focus.
I don't know alot about USMs at all. I borrowed the Canon 18-55 2.8 for a shooting trip and really liked it. I have an older kit lens Canon 3.5 18-55 but really liked the 2.8 and focus, etc.
Thanks for your input. I've seen some these Canon on ebay, they are going for about $380 on bidding wars, sometimes a little more.
YES HAVE BEEN CHECKING ALL OF ABOVE, except not KEH yet... also ebay.
Also may be open to the Sigma 17-50 2.8 it has very good reviews and price point a bit better.
The Tamron starts to slide a bit quality-wise, and sometimes has AF issues with Canon, from what I'm reading.
I agree ISO is kind of funny to use here... but it's an acceptable acronym. :)
Wondering why you ask my budget... do you have one you want to sell?
Obviously am looking for well below the "new" prices shown on places like B&H ($799) although they do come with a 6 year limited warranty going that route.
I've seen a new price for $619 on ebay, and a used one from same seller for $579. SO, I guess I'm shooting for that range at the most. Plus the ability to use PayPal Credit is appealing. (no interest for anywhere from 6-12 mos).
Their "new" one is the "imported version" so apparently why it doesn't come with manuf. warranty... although I'm really not clear yet on what imported version means, if anything, as far as quality of product. New for that price is appealing, if it is the real deal. They seem to offer add on for Square Trade... not sure about doing that or not.
I was trying to remember the other places people told me to look online. I did a google search but not always sure I trust what I find. So, why I'm checking in here.
Thank you,
Christine
I've spent time researching, reviewing, and renting (3) different super telephoto lenses. (Sigma contemporary 100-400, Tamron 150-600 and Tamron 100-400)
I've decided it is the Tamron 100-400 that will suit me best and falls within my budget. (Canon was way out of my budget)....
I can get a new one on ebay for a reasonable price and there are a couple used ones, but thought I'd check here, since this community seems pretty good and I did well with my Canon 70D purchase. :) (Thank you "Ron")
I also want to avoid waiting for one to come from Japan or wherever which can happen via ebay and even there is nothing on my local Craig's list, I tend to avoid Craig's list. (scary).
SO... looking forward to hearing back.
Christine
