The Giants Causeway has many opportunities for great photos but you really need to folow a path West on the high cliff side for the best location.
The village of Rathmullan is a special place to stop and photograph the houses and Lough Swilly; Fanan Head Lighthouse is located North of Lough Swilly at the entrance to Lough Swilly from the Sea. I recommend renting a B&B in Rathmullan and use that as a home base for two or three days because of the hospitality of the residents. There is a guy there named Paul Deeney who puts a lot of pictures on the Rathmullan facebook page that is more than willing to tell you the best places to go for photos.
Rathmullan is also a reasonable distance from Donegal Castle that has an interesting history and the interior is really cool to phonograph. Donegal is only abot 26 miles from Rathmullan straight line distance, takes about 45 minutes to drive.
In London Derry or Derry depending on who you talk to is the old city's walls from the 1400's that you can walk the top of and provides an interesting landscape.
Glenveagh Castle, Glenveagh National Park which is West of Rathmullan about 30 minutes has a ton of photo opportunities but costs a small amount for admission.
On an inlet from the Sea id a town called KINSALE; I highly recommend it because it's an old seaport town that is used today by pleasure boaters out of England and the building have that old Irish look.
If I knew more about where you intend to fly into I could better advise you; actually, just about every 20 miles is something to consider photos of but you don't have that much time I am sue.
Not knowing where you are located I can't give you much of a reference for size and width but the Ireland is a country about as long North to South as Ohio and 1/2 as wide; other than around Dublin and the WEst side most of the country is two lane highway. B&B's are the way to go for overnights and Cottages is the best for a few days. If you would like more info; shoot me an email at snyder3078@aol.com and I will reply with my phone number and give you the scoop. I can also tell you where not to bother with; I have been there multiple times; my daughter lives there.

This is probably my favorite overlook view on my 2017 vacation out west; for a title, I called it "Canyon Land". I took the picture with a rented Nikon D4 I rented from a camera shop using a Tamron 15 to 30 2.8 ultra wide lens. This is the first time I have submitted a photo anywhere for others to comment on. If you look real close at the lowest part of the road going down-hill there is a van travelling the road. The canyon is about 800 feet below where I am standing.
