I have been using Waze app (now owned by Google) for many years.
It is a social networking app where drivers can report and input of traffic jams, safety issues, weather conditions, accidents and presence of police on the roads. Also provides posted road speed limits you are driving on and your actual car speed as measured by GPS (more accurate than the odometer). The app warns if you have exceeded the posted speed limits.
Waze is very reliable and provides live updates.

I have read local reports of Fall foliage in Virginia that due to high heat and dry season the leaves are prematurely turning brown. What leaves are left on trees are still green. You may be disappointed if you plan to shoot Fall landscape.
Good photo shoot in any case!

I stopped into my local camera store (ProCam) to look around. on the way out a brand new Canon R6 Mark II followed me home. So now the learning starts over again. The manual PDF file has over a 1000 pages, so I'll be reading for a week.

I just bought R6. It’s multiple exposure feature is fun! Attached is photo of single bird in three positions.

Great background and foreground. Well composed with water fall and contrasting building.

I also do fall photo shoot in Virginia every year.

Thanks for sharing your work.

I think you will need a longer lens if you intend to photograph animals. Rent or buy is your choice, but I would not go with less than a 400mm or a 300mm with a 1.4 X or whatever Nikon has in that range.

I had the same suggestion. In Denali you will have to ride in bus without getting off. Animals are at far distances so 400mm is a must. Buy or rent lens from US. I was lucky to find a camera shop in Fairbanks for an accessory but renting might be difficult. Don’t need tripod in my opinion.

Amazing shot! I tried similar settings on my Canon with 400mm lens (but hand held). No such details. :(

[quote=khailei]Does anyone know of a an inexpensive photo editing software that will let you put several photos on one page and, besides print them, and lets you save them as one file so they can be....

Free download from App Store “Pic Collage” allows you to drag and drop photos, videos and rearrange them as you want. Becomes one file after completing.

I saw nothing worth photographing this evening but dragonflies. These were taken in shadow and fading light so the sharpness was affected and some noise crept in.

I think these are all great photos!
I just watched a documentary on insects. I was surprised to learn that millions of years ago Dragonflies used to be 2 feet long with wide spans with two additional wings before they evolved to current smaller size. They believe that this was due to drop of Oxygen level in atmosphere from 35% down to 23% we currently have.
