Yes. You are breaking the biggest law of all. Privacy. It is always a good idea to carry a press release in your wallet. There are many examples on the Internet. I know that feeling of getting that "great" shot an not being to use it. If you can, when next at church, present the parent(s) with a copy of the photo, assure them that it was never published and then ask for their permission to use the photo.
