Very nice. Too long a shutter and it's just Kinkadian.
What method produced the first seven photos? Are they something you deliberately made with the camera or computer? Or did they occur somehow?
I was out walking and I saw this lovely spider, which promptly hid from my attentions.

An explanation just occurred to me: The V-Lux has a fixed lens with a long zoom feature. It can also shoot to 3cm macro. Having one lens for near and far may require a smaller sensor; to make up for it they used a higher megapixel count.
Thank you very much for your input.
What does it actually mean when a considerably smaller sensor has a considerably larger megapixel count, from the same year (and therefore presumably similar technology although not necessarily)? How can I make sense of that?
What do you think of two sensors, released in the same year:
1" (13.2 x 8.8mm) having 20 effective megapixels
4/3 (17.3 x 13mm) having 13 effective megapixels
I refer to the V-Lux 114 and the D-Lux 109 respectively (Leica).
With those specs, should I consider other features when making my decision between them?
Sounds like an Upstart! lol
Dear xt2, I really like how the orange light plays in the hair and wavelet near the shore, in your enclosed photo. Best seen when viewed fullscreen.
On their way to me:
16mm f/1.4 R WR -->I saw a video of this being used at 6"
18-55mm f/2.8-4.0 R LM OIS Lens
looking forward!
Does each lens need firmware updates? Is there a separate connection to computer for that, or does the camera body feed firmware to the lens?
I decided on the Fujinon XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR. On a YouTube channel called "Denae & Andrew", a video titled "FUJI 16mm 1.4 - MY FAVORITE LENS EVER" was a big help. It shows everything I typically do with my D-Lux 6, so I will, I think, be quite happy. Thanks for your input!!!
I decided to buy a Fuji X-T2 (an x-mount in the Fuji lens system). The camera is APS-C (cropped sensor).
People say great things about the kit lens. But, it opens only to f/2.8. On my Leica D-Lux 6, I have long been accustomed to f/1.7. I would like to go even more open than that, with my new system, since I am taking this opportunity to spend money.
What do you recommend? I have my eye on the Fuji 23 (effectively 35)mm f/1.4, which stops down to f/16.
I don't want to go too wide-angle because I don't like seeing everything tilted and leaning. 23/35 is enough for me.
I don't want to save a bit of money and have chronic problems with color or other aberrations that sneak in with cheaper lenses. So I am not keen about 7artisans or Kalimar. But what about Rokinon? They seem to get positive reviews, and have a 21mm f/1.4, which stops all the way down to f/22. The f/1.4 would move me in the direction I want. Of course versatility in the other direction is also good.
Any advice about navigating the Fuji lens landscape would be appreciated. I decided that shooting quietly is important so I don't want a mirror slapping sounds. DSLR is out for me.
Thank you for your responses!
