Please see attached 3 images taken at the Gardens at Alnwick Castle, UK. This castle (not shown) is the seat of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. The original garden was designed by Capability Brown, but fell into disrepair. The present Duchess, Jane Percy recreated the garden and it is delightful.
The water garden and the water fountain are one large part of the garden, but I decided to focus in on just two parts.

To all,
thank you for your kind comments. It was a really cold day (for the UK), and with snow on the tops I was not sure we would be able to access the Buttermere valley. You access the valley via Honister Pass and with the snow thought it maybe icy and too dangerous but no the pass was ok.
PS - Honister Pass is famous for it's Slate Mine if you ever visit the area and Via Ferrata climbing experience.
2 Images taken at Buttermere in early March. I have not posted these 2 images earlier as we had an ill father in law, now out of hospital.
I am not the person you mention. I have updated my profile, hopefully giving you more info.
This is Derwent Water near to Keswick in the English Lake District. The valley at the end of the lake is Borrowdale, apparently one of the wettest parts of the UK.
The water level is high due to the wet winter we have had and are having, the fence on the right usually acts as a leading line but unfortunately is partly submerged.
I shoot with Nikon, use Adobe Photo shop elements 2023 and it does not have lens correction capabilities. How important is lens correction in post production? Will it make my images better?
Thanks for posting, lovely in the summer.
Thanks for posting - fascinating, very pleased they practice in all weathers.
Thanks for posting, love the steps, great to walk along the beach, then fish and chips at Trenchers. Then more walking and photography after lunch to "burn off" lunch. Must visit again soon.
It is on my bucket list!
Thanks for posting
I have two tripods - large carbon fibre Gitzo but a smaller Slik Pro 500DXS (purchased at B and H), with a Gitzo ball head (from a broken Gitzo tripod). More table top use, need a tiltable screen on your Mirrorless or DSLR unless you are very flexible. My only complaint is it does not have spiked feet nor carbon fibre so feels cold on cold days. About 18 inches high, weight with Gitzo ball head 2.6 lbs.
It is not perfect but is any tripod? I am always looking for something slightly taller and lighter, preferably carbon fibre!
KT, excellent, thanks for posting.
Stay warm and safe.
Tommy,
thank you for posting, it is that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere when winter can give amazing photographic opportunities though can be dangerous to us humans.
BW.
Excellent and fascinating.
Thank you for posting and sharing.
BW,
Derek.
Amazing, very jealous, well done.
