I just re-read your post about being on an amphibious command ship. I was on the Pocono an amphibious communications command ship in '70 '71. She was actually decommissioned in 1971. When we'd go out an Admiral and his staff would be on board and in charge of the group from our ship. We'd usually have a contingent of about 350 Marines also.

I've never been to the actual wall, but this is a touching tribute to all those lost.

I can understand your level of frustration. It's not enough to pack the donuts back to the store, but there's a remedy. You have to turn this situation into one of life's teachable moments. Start with making a fresh pot of hot 'organic' coffee. Then place one of the regular donuts on a saucer right next to a cup of coffee…..and study…..and reflect….and try to recall just exactly how this mishap took place. And if you have to, repeat that exercise.

And don't tell us about the "utilization review boards." My daughter-in-law has been a "patient care determination specialist" for a major health insurance company for several years. Well before ACA. So your "death panels" have been in place for many years. She has already had to be a part of decisions of that sort, "patient is too old for this procedure, or patient doesn't qualify because of blah blah blah."

Israel has a health care system that is Universal and Compulsory. Citizens have to purchase their coverage from one of four 'non-profit' healthcare providers. Certain things are not covered, dental and eye care, but supplemental coverage can be purchased. Israel is ranked in the top five countries in health care. If some other countries that have more universal health care for their citizens were so terrible, the United States northern border and east and west coasts would be flooded with Canadians, Brits, Israelis and multiple others fleeing their country to take advantage of our "for profit" system.

It's a shame that with all of the medical and technological advances in Israel that they can't be convinced to move way from their Universal and Compulsory health care system for every citizen.

There were over 300 people that attended the graveside service, and who knows how many at a church service beforehand. Can you imagine doing a scan and search of everyone at the church beforehand, and then doing the same out at Arlington to secure that site along with all of their vehicles? It would have been a spectacle to say the least, and then the cry would have been that Obama was doing it to showboat, or "Why can't he just leave the Greene family bury their loved one in peace?"
