I agree with you on costs. I have used non-OEM ink for years without problems. The only problem I have had is when I shut the lid, I sometimes get an error that says non-HP cartridge (or something like that.) Just click on OK, and start saving. I use an HP-7520, and it prints beautiful photos. For me, I can't say "professional quality" because I've never owned one. As an example I just looked on amazon and a set of standard volume HP and the photo black (separate purchase) is $82. TWO sets of XL capacity non-HP including 2 extra XL black, and the photo cartridges for $21! I have never used that particular brand, but the last ones I bought are currently unavailable. I say try it.

Is this program a stand alone editor or a plugin? It's features sound tempting, but it sounds like you also need PS/LR to make it a full editor.
