I’m all in on the filter but the reality is that the strap did not go from perfect condition to breaking. It no doubt had a period of fraying or wearing thin. Before you leave the house the strap’s condition is part of your equipment check just as you would check the charge level on your battery.
I own personal experience with Luminar through four versions is that I’ve always had issues with installs. It took weeks with their tech people always via email (you can’t talk to a warm body) before it worked right.
Although I loved each version I’ve sworn off buying new versions and will continue to use Luminar AI which is fine.
If you’re going snorkeling bring a wet suit. The water is freezing even though the islands are on the equator. The reason is because there is an Antarctic current that flows past the islands
I have a different take in that I rarely ask permission. My goal is to shoot people who are doing their thing. Of course it has to be interesting to me. What I shoot mostly now are enthusiast cyclists in Central Park in NYC. The park drive is closed to cars and bikes have the entire roadway. Sometimes I get a wave. Sometimes a finger or a tongue out and sometimes I’m ignored. It’s all good. These shots are challenging because the riders are often moving at 20mph so you have less that a second to get the shot. I use continuous shooting, high shutter speed, and continuous auto focus. With all of that I typically get only 2 - 3 exposures before the rider is gone. If one is a keeper that’s good. There’s is zero time to frame your shot or adjust the zoom on the lens.
Street photography is my thing. If you are in a public space there should not be any legal issues. If a person objects to being photographed I always delete the photo
Obviously Leica can do it. Check their website about where to send it. I believe they have a facility in the U.S.
You got to do whatever floats your boat. You do have to feed your family and pay the rent but after that it’s what makes you happy.
If you don’t spend it when you go the government is going to get it unless you’ve figured out how to take it with you😂😂😂
I’m in the CL camp too. Love the camera and am waiting for the CL2. I’m also waiting for a longer telephoto that’s designed for aps-c meaning smaller lighter. What’s available now are full frame designs and are too heavy for my old body to carry
Yes Leica glass is super expensive but there are plenty of alternative brands that are just as good at far lower prices
We visited Arandas to see the cranes. The viewing area however was so far from cranes that they were practically specks on horizon. Bring a really long lens
At that focal length the only choice is the Leica 55-135. Both Sigma and and Panasonic make longer zooms but they are designed for full frame cameras meaning heavy and bulky. Forget the $1000 price point even on the used market
They may make good photo subjects but when they use your lawn and pool as a toilet you really get to hate them. Before I sold my house I spent spring time picking poop up off my lawn and skimming it from my pool.
I have a Leica lens that suddenly had an auto focus failure. It’s not the camera as my other lens works. Does anyone have any thoughts on how I might fix it other than send it in for repair?
In aperture priority with auto ISO and you are shooting a moving subject the photo will often be blurred because the camera will select a shutter speed that is to too slow. So you have two choices. Either go with shutter priority or manually choose an ISO setting that will result in an appropriate speed. I go with door number 2
