I got rid of all my old film cameras. As much as I loved them, I never want to go back to shooting film, and I thought it was a waste for them to just sit around, deteriorating. They all found new homes with people who will use and appreciate them.
In any case, when they finally do get around to releasing this lens, expect it be in short supply. They still struggle to produce enough of the 500mm f/5.6 PF lenses to meet demand, and it's been out for years.
I'm surprised they didn't give the new lens a PF designation.
I had an Epson Workforce. The print quality was indifferent and the nozzles clogged constantly if the printer wasn't used all the time. I ended up having to throw it away because the printheads failed.
Looks like a giant blue jay is emerging from the lake to terrorize the community! ; D

You are confusing terms.
Which terms am I confusing?
The focal plane is a flat plane onto which the lens focuses its image. The film or digital sensor is located on this plane. This is where the term "focal plane shutter" gets its name -- the shutter is located just in front of the focal plane, as opposed to an in-lens shutter, which is located (not surprisingly) somewhere within the lens.

I guess you don't like Apple products then.
Nope. I use the Korean alternative.
My preference is not to support them when it's possible to purchase equivalent products that are made elsewhere.
Looks beautiful. My only problem with it is that it's made in communist China.
Wow, I've never even seen ONE of these birds!
Once we started talking about politics this sort of arguing was inevitable. : (
